You’re invited to Project Renovation’s Spring 2013 Equipping Event!

On April 18th, we’re bringing together youth leaders from across Central Pennsylvania for an exciting discussion that we’re calling “Renewable Student Ministry: Caring for the Souls of Your Volunteers.” Our desire is to see a room filled with youth workers gathering together to creatively care for the amazing volunteers that make youth ministry happen..

A student ministry can be a very busy place.

LowBattery (PNG 72ppi)Small groups, outreaches, lock-ins, mission trips… we ask a lot from our volunteers, don’t we? They do an amazing job, but we can see how the busyness drains them. The fact is we feel it, too. We struggle to find the time to recharge and end up feeling like we’re serving on empty batteries most of the time.  All the while we struggle to recruit more leaders and keep the ones we have so the ministry can keep moving forward. People can get lost in the busyness.

We love our team and want to care for them, but sometimes we don’t know where to begin. How do you care for the souls of your volunteers? How do you nurture their spiritual growth when you feel completely drained yourself? Does youth ministry have to work that way?

What if student ministry could be different?

What if our youth groups became environments of continual renewal, places where well-cared for souls serve out of full hearts instead of emptiness? What would your youth ministry look like if volunteers served from a place of spiritual abundance rather than low batteries?

How do we start caring for the souls of our volunteers?

FullBattery (PNG 72ppi)Come dream with us as we talk about “Renewable Student Ministry.” Join us Thursday, April 18th for Project Renovation’s Equipping Event entitled “Renewable Student Ministry: Caring for the Souls of Your Volunteers.” Doug Jones, author of Dawn to Dark, will guide our discussion as we imagine what might happen when we start loving and serving teens out of the abundance of a well-tended soul.
